Simple Christmas Cupcake Recipe

What you need for app 12 cakes:
125 gr melted butter
2 1/4 dl sugar
4 eggs (lightly beated)
2 1/2 dl flour
4-6 drops almond flavoring
175g ground almonds

For the topping:
450g ready-made sugar paste
55g green sugar paste
25g red sugar paste
icing sugar for decoration

Step 1:
Set your oven to 180 C. Prepare 12 cupcake papers. Mix the butter, sugar, and almond flavoring in a bowl. Start adding the eggs, one at a time. Add the flour and grounded almonds. Divide the batter into the cupcake papers. Bake for 20 minutes or until the cakes raise and feel solid on top.
Step 2:
Once you take them out let them to cool for at least 15 - 20 minutes. Roll out the sugar paste on a flat surface and cut 12 circles with diameter about 7cm. Now take the circles and put one on each cupcake. Roll out the green and red sugar paste and use your imagination to create either branches of a tree or maybe a whole christmas tree (you can make small red circles out of the red paste and use them as decoration of your christmas tree or branch).
